The Lodge

Built in the 60’s Suskeena Lodge is the first commercial operation on the Susut River to host anglers to fish for native wild Steelhead. Located in Northern BC roughly 100 miles North of Smithers, the lodge is inaccessible by road and can be reached by fixed wing or helicopter only. Suskeena Lodge is a charming custom-built log building nestled on the Sustut River. With its panoramic mountain views and real crackling fireplace; Suskeena Lodge is sure to give you a true wilderness experience whilst being warm and comfortable. With just nine anglers we can offer you a home away from home where the atmosphere is just right.

Accommodations

Our guest log cabins are some of the best Steelhead accommodations in the business. Each cabin is cleaned daily and accommodates 2 anglers. They are heated with good quality wood stoves with a temperature control vent. Cabins are warm, well furnished with warm cozy flannel linens. Each cabin at Suskeena has an en suite bathroom with flushing toilet and on demand hot water.

We have laundry facilities available, and a well stocked fly shop on site with flies, tackle and Simms/Suskeena branded clothing available for purchase.

The Food

All meals are served in the main lodge and prepared by our chef using fresh quality ingredients. A 3 course gourmet meal is served around 7:00pm along with quality complimentary wine from around the world hand picked by our chef and paired accordingly to the nights feast. Foods include homemade breads, roasted meats, grilled fish and hand-crafted desserts.

A hot breakfast is served at 7:30am and for early risers coffee and continental breakfast is available from 6:30am onwards. Our lodge staff will pack up a cooler with your desired thermos and beverages each morning. There is always plenty of water and snacks available in the boat! Lunches are served shore side by our Guides and include hearty soups, sandwiches, stews and more.
